The Awakened Heart Project is excited to offer its winter intensive practice option for 2021. For the last 12 years, we have offered a three-week retreat during the winter months for those interested in an extended period for practice. Due to Covid, we are not able to meet in person this year. So, we plan to meet on Zoom for an intensive 7-day practice period.
The Intensive will begin the morning of Sunday January 3rd at 10:00 AM. For the full days of the intensive, we will start at 7:00 AM and finish at 9:00 PM each day. This follows the general in-person retreat schedule where participants engage full time in contemplative practice. Participants will have individual practice discussions with one of the instructors every two days. We will end on Saturday night, January 9th.
This retreat is designed to show experientially how a regular Jewish meditation practice can help cultivate awareness in all aspects of daily life. Being at home will provide an opportunity to integrate the practice experience with life at home, creating a model for using contemplative practice to remind us of the possibility of bringing our awareness to every moment of our lives.
We will have a full day schedule, which we found to be valuable in sustaining and deepened the practice. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their skills in a range of meditative techniques. These include concentration techniques, contemplative prayer chants, mindfulness meditation, the path of blessing, and practices that cultivate joy.
The teachers will be offering the opportunity to experience practices which thousands of people have found transformative and life enhancing. Learn practices that result in greater clarity and wisdom, open the heart of compassion and lead to greater happiness.
The fee for the January 3rd - 9th 7-day online intensive is $180.00.
